  • OncoHepaTest® is developed through an integrated scientific approach that unites molecular biology techniques (BT), cutting-edge medical technology(MT), patented bioinformatics tools and database management(IT), and statistical tools for clinical and experimental data management (ST).
  • OncoHepaTest®, a multi-gene expression profile test, is developed to assess the risk of tumor recurrence and death for hepatocellular carcinoma patients. This test has been clinically validated through multi-center clinical validation in collaboration with Samsung Medical Center, Ajou University School of Medicine, and Hanyang University School of Medicine.
  • OncoHepaTest® is licensed as new Health Technology by Ministry of Health and Welfare (Ministry of Health and Welfare Notice 2010 - 83).

Intended Use

Gene expression profile test that can classify, assess, and predict the probability of tumor recur rence and survival for individual hepatocellular carcinoma patients to aid patients and physicians in making informed decisions about the use oftailored treatment options


Using hepatocellular carcinoma tissues obtained from fine nee dle-biopsy or hepatic resection, the gene expression profile for the set of specific prognostic markers (CDH1 , ID2, MMP9, TCF3) is measured by quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction to assess the risk of tumor recurrence and death for hepatocellular carcinoma patients

  • OncoHepaTest® provides the risk scores for tu mor recurrence and death of hepatocellular carcinoma patients independent of the current clinical staging system for hepatocellular carcinoma. For high risk patients , the physicians can obtain valuable information for the need of close follow-up protocol beyond routine care and adjuvant therapies ; For low risk patients, costly and potentially dangerous invasive treatments can be avoided.
